Job Title:
Program Assistant, NLI
Period & Mode of Engagement:
1 year with an initial probationary period of 6months. May be renewed based on performance
Primary Job Location:
Lagos, Nigeria. The individual will be required to work across different time zones, teleconferencing with NLI fellows and associates across the globe, as required. The position may require travel within Nigeria, as needed.
Job Summary:
- Researching and collating information and materials for NLI projects and activities;
- Coordinating and managing document storage and filing in the NLI Secretariat (Electronic and paper based);
- Managing enquiries about NLI and coordinating appropriate & prompt responses;
- Providing support to the Director of Operations and CEO;
Reports To:
The Director of Operations, NLI
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Researching CVs of Seminar nominees and providing appropriate reports to the Membership Committee;
- Collating and writing appropriate content/news for the NLI website;
- Collating materials for NLI Newsletters and Annual Reports;
- Managing daily correspondences ensuring no more than 48hrs turnaround time for enquiries;
- Filing & archiving of correspondences and official documents;
- General research and information gathering;
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or HND/OND
- Self-starter with ability to manage multiple competing tasks
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent administrative skills
- Attention to detail
- Good knowledge of the Nigerian political and socio-economic environment
- High degree of trustworthiness, discretion & confidentiality
Remuneration:
- Fixed salary between N600,000 to N840,000 per annum
- Transportation allowances, as approved by the Director of Operations
- Communication allowances, as approved by the Director of Operations
