Guest Speaker Forum Presentations

The Guest Speaker Forum (GSF) is a key activity under the 2012 Future Leaders Program. Invited Guest Speakers are requested, by NLI, to use topical case studies and/or personal experiences to provide experiential learning to the Associates as part of the deepening of leadership knowledge.

The rationale for the GSF is premised on the fact that, in climbing the ladders of responsibility, the Guest Speakers have had to tackle critical issues and take tough decisions. All of such experiences, undoubtedly, provide lessons for the future leaders – NLI Associates.

Guest Speakers are, therefore, encouraged to tailor their presentation to emphasize any of the following thematic focus: building blocks for effective leadership; character and psychology of a leader; responsibility of a leader; and accountable leadership. The GSF are designed as a presentation, on topical issue, and an interactive session (question and answer segment) of frank discussions in which Associates can pose questions that are illuminating on the varied and timeless wisdom of practical leadership decisions and experiences. Moreover, through an active engagement of Guest Speakers, the Associates can benefit from hitherto untested, unconventional, and new leadership ideas in their (Associates) personal and professional undertakings.
