Clever Clubs begin with a pilot in Adamawa State

A pilot programme for NLI Clever Clubs commenced on April 6, 2010 at Ahmadu Ribadu College, Yola, Adamawa State.
The programme began with a training of the Principal, Vice Principal, 3 Teachers and 10 Students (including the Senior Prefects) on how to set up a Clever Club.  They were also taken through the programme outline and resource materials.  They are now tasked with setting up a Clever Club and executing the 6-lesson programme in their school over 3 months.  The impact will then be assessed by NLI Associates.

Feedback

” I am humbled by NLI, that they would come all the way to my school to shed light on the ill happenings that surround us in Nigeria.  I am now encouraged to do something.   I am also excited by the content of NLI’s material and mode of delivery.  I am suprised that the kids are still full of life after a whole day of training. I’m going to start the Club with immediate effect”. Principal

“I’ve kept a diary for a number of  years on how I will like to improve Nigeria.  I thought I was alone, but I’m so excited to see that there are other people like me”. Mohammed Shafiu Mahmud, Student
